GOSSAMER: A word I found myself associating with my most beloved articles of clothing while I was writing this post. To me, clothing represents a way to express yourself. In just one glance, you can see a visual illustration of someone’s style, their personality, and what they feel confident in. There are so many diverse approaches to how each person decides to create their look, and below, you can find my recent fashion favorites that personally represent these values for me. Maybe you'll even find a piece you love along the way, too! Enjoy :)
#1 URBAN OUTFITTERS PEACH STRIPED BUTTON-UP BLOUSE
The moment I saw this blouse, I knew I had to have it. However, it wasn't until a couple months later when my mom found it on a sale rack at Urban that I finally got my hands on this staple piece. And, naturally, I then proceeded to have a photoshoot with it during the golden hour ;). Besides being a shirt so effortlessly soft, I usually love to style this piece with dainty gold necklaces, denim (either mom/ripped jeans or a skirt for a dressier look), and a bralette peeking out.
#2 URBAN OUTFITTERS MIRROR SLIDE
I, too, was a bit taken aback at the first sight of these mirror-like reflective slides. When I first received these for my birthday, I was a tad lost on how exactly I was going to manage to pull them off in my wardrobe. And now, I can't seem to find a weekend that I don't wear them! My favorite way to style them is with plain leggings or shorts and a patterned tank top (like the geometric one featured above). The slides add the perfect extra pop to a simple look like this.
#3 NORDSTROM RACK OFF-THE-SHOULDER RUFFLE TOP
In the past, I have found that off-the-shoulder tops just do not seem to look particularly great on me. No matter how many I tried on, how many I loved, and how many I put back on the rack in defeat, I was never able to feel confident in this trend. However, once I found this top, my whole perspective changed. I don't know if it's the silky material, or the beautiful ruffle detailing, but this off-the- shoulder top is for sure a keeper. I have found that it's pretty hard to dress down a top like this, so I usually pair it with some jeans and wedges for a put-together look.
#4 MARIA SHIREEN LUNA ROSE GOLD BITTERSWEET BRACELET
A lot of people have repeatedly told me that this bracelet is 'so extra,' and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I used to always get annoying red marks on my wrist from having my ponytail holder on, but thanks to this bracelet, I get to show off my love for rose gold while always having a ponytail holder with me just in case. I would have to say that this is one of the most functional, yet delightful, accessories I own.
#5 PINS (FEATURING URBAN OUTFITTERS AND THE 1975 SHOP)
I LOVE PINS !!! They are the perfect way to brighten up any backpack or jacket by adding your own personal touch. For me, I purchased some pins off of The 1975's online shop, since they are my favorite band, to show some of my interests on my backpack (along with the avocado because i'm obsessed with guacamole ;)). I am currently working on transferring my pins to my jean jacket since I was too afraid I would lose more of them at school :( But catch me collecting more pins in the future!
